I just ran a report and I'm a bit over $4000 this year through Oct (still have to enter the numbers for Nov and Dec) for automotive but that includes about $1000 or so I spent on tires/oil changes/misc repairs this year.
I was paying some bills on Quicken and ran a fuel report for grins.
12 months personal fuel costs for everything = $5500.
Not too bad I guess.

$6500 just for gas for 1 car. Toss in tires, oil changes, brakes this year I'm almost to $8k.
3- 5 fill ups a month... at around 120 each... just for work.
$10,920.00 just in the Tahoe for my personal use . This does not include my wifes car, but she is right around $4500 herself. Now throw in the kids gas and the baot gas....starting to look like I need a second job.

. Man whats that like 50K personal miles a year?
I'm over 6K so far for car and last summer's boating.
Personal, I have no clue. This year I have spent over $7,000 in fuel for just my truck. In the next month or two Ill sit down and figure it out for taxes. Off the top of my head, I'm guessing 3k is personal.
Then theres oil changes...
When I drove the diesel I had to do it less and it cost me $60 to do it myself. Now with the gasser I do it twice as much at $30. So that pretty much evens out. I drive over 3k miles a month during the winter and well over 4k in the summer(river trips). So figure oil changes once a month.
nothing.. my wife has a company gas card (ARCO) that we are allowed to use for our personal vehicles and even the boat. Considered as part of her pay. Not sure what the total is at the end of the year?

Smart move, when you asked her to marry you.
