A friend of mine is planning a trip to Oroville for his bach party. Are there any Party Coves or sandbars or is it more of a family enviroment lake.
Any other advice would be appreciated
    Thanks

I have launched from two locations bidwell marina and by the dam . pros and cons are, bidwell has facilities but parking was tight and the ramp is very steep , you have to motor past all the house boats at 5 mph no wake, seems like it takes forever . At the dam , it has a huge parking lot, the ramp is lalso large and not so steep but you will have a hike after you park. Go to the dam , much better in my opinion . No sandbars that i could see but this is a big lake so many coves alot of cool places to hang out I really recommend it .One more thing , the park police like to hang out in the dam area they are really checking you out so beware if you like to party ...good luck
