I ran mine off the small fitting on the base of the carb.
Hey Gang,
I am putting a HEI Vacuum Advance distributor on my Olds 455 with a Holley 750 and Eldebrock Torker 455 intake. Where should I run the vacuum line too?
Thanks Trent

Thanks for the help.

Set your timing with the vacum unhooked at full mechanical advance then hook up your vacum pod and see how much more timing it brings in.Sometimes you will have way tooooooo much.
well hei good idea.vacume advance not so good of a idea.just doesn't perform like a mechanical advance.depends on the boat though.good luck

if it's a jet boat, lock the vacuum advance and only use the centrifugal advance that's built in. You may want to use lighter springs so the total advance is in by about 2800-3000 rpms.

you hook it the "timed Vac port" a small fitting by the electric choke towards the top of the float bowl base plate.
got to www.holley.com and download the instructions for your carb
I agree with Cas, don't just plug it off, lock it out. Petronix make a dealio that replaces the vacumn can it's like 6.99, when I needed one they were back ordered so I just welded mine in place.
