Hey all... I'm ready to upgrade the stereo in my 21 skier... right now there's a Pioneer head unit, with an XM Roady, 4 6.5's in the seat bases, a 10" SAS woofer under the driver's side dash, and a Sony 50x4 amp under the passenger side dash. I've got a pair of MB Quart 6.5 separates I'd like to install in the hatch for sandbar hanging. The whole system just isn't that loud outside the boat. Any suggestions to make it better? I have two batteries, but should I upgrade the batteries as well? What about capacitors?

Forget about Caps. Spend you money where it will make a difference.
To get louder you may consider the following:
    1) If you install more speakers, mount them as high as possible in the interior
    2) Power those speakers with amplifers that put out close to rated RMS power handling of the speakers
    3) Consider installing a couple of 10" or 12" subs powered by a dedicated Class D Subwoofer amp.
    4) I'd increase your battery count by 1. One for engine starting and 2 dedicated to stereo
