Here's Jim's e-mail:
What a party!! We estimated that a good turnout would be 200, a great turnout would be 300. Bill Draper ordered 400 brats to be sure. Romer Beverage had enough beer for at least 1,000 cups. I hoped we could raise $10,000.
So what happened?
- we ran out of brats by 6:45 PM
- we ran out of beer shortly thereafter
- there may have been 600 people there at one time or another
- the raffle and silent auction raised just under $11,000
- The Partnership for Economic Development contributed $2,500
- The Elks Fishing Club contributed $500
- we have received about $700 in the mail so far
Thus our total to date is just under $15,000 !!
If you couldn't make it, please send us a check. We are still a long way from our goal of $25,000!
Thanks to Romer Beverage, Boat Brokers, Magic/Sleek and Murphy Broadcasting for their support.
And Ron Christopherson from Game and Fish, who drove from Phoenix just to be there.

Our Christmas Party at Shugrues will be on Tuesday December 16. The theme will be "CHEESEBURGERS IN PARADISE!"
Seems appropriate for our economy. The charge is $15.00 per person. It will replace our monthly meeting. More later.
