My thoughts on the rooster booster:
    It's a fancy wedge.
On the plus side you get a higher rooster (if that matters to you).
The negative side is that you have less 'down' on your PD for hole shots, slower planing speed etc.

A rooster booster gives you more 'tail. And who wouldn't like a little more 'tail? http://free.***boat.net/ubb/wink.gif

However as displayed quite frequently you can go past the "leverage point" with a diverter and actually begin to loose speed, but the side effect is the "roostertail" which alot of people like. Thus the reason prop guys refer to it as "A huge display of inefficiency."
OK, some of the funniest $h!t I've ever seen is those silly prop guys driving around with their motor trimed way up trying to look as cool as a jet boat by slinging water into the air with the prop half out of the water and the motor spinning 8000rpm. Kinda looks like a water sprinkler on steriods. Efficient? http://free.***boat.net/ubb/smile.gif We jetters get get some pretty good laughs at or secret meetings too.
