Thread: Whats a good 460 plug?

    What should i run in my stock 460 with DOVE heads? What sould the gap be?

    I run one heat range colder than stock. Well go to the parts counter and tell the 17 year old dip
    you want a set of plugs for a 70 LTD with a 460
    auto trans,A/C,P/S and yes it is green. Then make
    him go to the back of the book and cross it to the next lower heat range. Gap at 35, I just can not think of the numder off the top of my head
    sorry.

    i have run ac,autolite,and motorcraft to be honest no difference they all fire the fuel but i agree with waterslinger about the 17 year old behind the parts counter its for a 1970 countrysquire station wagon(thats what i tell them)And i do get the look like what are you doing owning one of those cars for!

    I hate those kids too. As soon as you ask for some part they go for the computer. When they ask "What kind of car?" I like saying "Its for a boat" and seeing there look of confusion.

    I used to be one of these dips, but i was old school , books only, Really want to freak him out, ask for a water pump for a 68 vw, and sit back and enjoy...lmao
