Mrhavasu, If a beachfront is leased by a hotel/motel ,they pay the government for its use, hence they could ask you to move.I'm sure someone at the government level could fill you in on this one in your jurisdiction.

Do you think you'll be noticed? You're gonna need a big beach...

Maybe I should just pull up and act like I own the place. Maybe they won't say anything http://free.***boat.net/ubb/biggrin.gif
Spectra's, It is actually a condo complex and there are signs that say private beach.

He left his phone number. Anyone feel like giving this guy a call. You know, an interview of his viewpoint for an online publication.
1st question: Is your refrigerator running?
    2nd question: Are you gay?

I wonder what brings in more revenue for the city, $2.40 a gallon gas, $8.99 a 12-pack, $240 dollar a month Storage fee's, $109 a night motel rooms, or $1.25 container of fish bait? Get a life fisher f&*ck you've got 200 miles of coastline there to chose from!
Sorry I just can't handle anymore of these peoples sniveling!!

MrHavasucat, I've friends with waterfront properties with docks .They didn't get permit to build them and it's not enforced "yet" to get a permit. However if the government decides to collect a fee or add extra tax for improvement [like adding an inground pool versa portable one],they would either pay a fee or would have to remove the dock .Also beware of leased lands,we don't have treaties with the indians like the us,so buying a leased land here[be it 50 or 100 yrs ]is a huge risk ,because the government could decide to give the land back to the native indians in a wink.It happened right here in the greater vancouver area.People with beatiful homes are facing a huge land tax now payable to the natives , their homes are rendered worthless ,because nobody would buy them now.Condos own the beach property but I would guess boatcop might be able to answer your question if they [boatcop&company] have the authority to remove your butt[cigarette http://free.***boat.net/ubb/wink.gif] unless you make a disturbance. He should chime in on this one.

I "heard" at the river, when building a dock you don't actually own it. It's supposed to be real tough to even get permission.

Roz, I have been away for a while, and I have read several threads this morning, did, uh, how can I put this, You have a revelation regarding your sexuality in the past couple of weeks? You seem to be fixated on a "gay" theme.... http://free.***boat.net/ubb/wink.gif

CC, my friend's dock at Skaha Lake is removable ,so he can take it out if he wants to,and having paid a licence for it he could untie your boat from it if he wants to http://free.***boat.net/ubb/eek.gif.But he couldn't keep you off from mooring front of his property or walking at the edge of the beach ,called "foreshore" = public land .Generally there's supposed to be public access every few hundred yards between string of homes, but a lot of home owners seem to defend their territory from landlubbers [Intruders http://free.***boat.net/ubb/wink.gif],hehe.
