It's not for sale. 49% of the island was sold off to an investment group 2 years ago. That's why all the improvements have been made and it's really turning around. They actually cannot sell more than 49% because by law if it leaves the Haley family the county can shut it down.
I don't know if anyone has been past it lately but they have really been doing a lot of work out there. They redid the whole dance floor so everything is on 1 level now and they are building upstairs too!!! There is talk about a VIP room upstairs over looking to main dance floor. It should be another great summer out there. They would never take away the boat races, that's their best revenue right there!!!!

May be some sky box seats for the races, to get some great views of the race and surroundings. And just maybe a real pit area, for the race boats, Ha Im dreaming now. Come onn summer!!! BURRR :crossx:

We finely got out on the water, after almost two full seasons off., at the end of Oct 9 for the last weekend they where open Island looked the same. Are then doing improvements now?

What's....well since last I saw you guys, alot. Got married, moved, Blew up my boat, installed a new 502 in the boat. all good. Start with married Paula back in March, Sold the house you guys where at in Ingleside, moved to Palatine. Longer trip to the water but nicer home/ area. Broke thte crank in the 454. was going to rebuild but went with a 502 put on Edelbrock heads got it done at the end of this season. We will be ready to go next year. how about you guys?
