I cant figure out if it (the computer) was trying to take off or land. If you listen, the jets are almost at idle and you can hear the thrust increase waaaaay to late after it's crashing into the trees. Good thing there were not passengers....

I am thinking that commentary with the film was actually incorrect I saw that accident on the Discovery channel and if I remember correctly the plane was at the Paris airshow and had a crew on it It was trying to land ...perhaps autoland which is really nothing new The power curve on those engines is not instantaneous, and if you fall behind it bad things happen.
Not impressed with thier system
Looks like an expensive system to work the bugs out of....... eek!
I can't pull the link up due to a firewall at work. If is a a320 that crashed into the trees, the airplanes computers were thinking it was trying to land and the pilots were trying to do a flyby. They have a thing called alpha floor protection which will not let you stall the plane out by trying to climb to fast. There were people on board but only a few were killed. They are now working on a cockpit with a dog and a pilot.
Pilot is there to feed the dog and the dog is there to bite the pilot if he touches anything.
later Gary.
Pull up. Pull up. Wind shear.
And to think that was a sales flight.
Showing off the Airbus at an air show.
