I am just trying to get a general idea of how much negotiating room there is on a new boat. I have bought many new cars, and hate the haggling that goes on, so I was just curious what the list price, and what was the purchase price was some people from the boards got their boats for.
I might be able to help you a bit having sold several different brands over the years. Most
west coast performance builders have a 10% discount that is almost automatic when you walk in
the door. It's usually the same discount that is
available at the LA boat show but most folks don't
figure that out. Years ago at Nordic, there was
always a 15% discount for going factory direct but they don't do that anymore since they have a
network of dealers. My suggestion is to figure
10% into it as a real buying price depending on who it is. If you call me, I'll give you a great suggestion but I don't want to print it!

The advice is free! Our deckboats start at $79,000 and we'll throw in a handfull of cool
options, but we don't discount at all. We sell
65 of them a year and can't build them fast enough. We're very fortunate.
