Moderators-Who appoints them?

C`mon dude. One little disagreement shouldn`t thwart your efforts. I think you do a very valuable service to this site. Collectively ya`ll do a decent policing. You are a part of why this site is as popular as it is. Keep it rolling. When its silent is when you f`d up.

In general I think that the moderators are fair and necessary. I have seen several occasions where their use was appropriate if not necessary. The group of people that have been chosen seem to be a group that covers the whole spectrum of members of this board, and I am guessing that is why they chose those people in particular.
I did not agree with the approach that Froggystyle took when he first became a moderator. I thought it was a little overbearing and militant. But in all fairness he saw a problem and addressed it how he felt was appropriate, and it worked. I would have done it differently but that is just a matter of people addressing a problem in different ways. I think that he and the rest of the moderators have all been fair, and done the job to the best of their ability.
Remember folks they get nothing for the work that they do. They are doing it for the better of the board. Like said above the boards were almost shut down at one point.

Dave this is a link to the photo I posted in the “Unbelievable Bikini” thread that was moderated. I do not know who removed it because my post and Tobtek’s post were deleted (they both had this picture). I would say that it is less reveling than your signature and it was removed. So therefore I would say that your signature would be deemed as inappropriate.
I don’t really care I am not offended by your signature. But the double standards is a little ridicules. RD,

Not a paying member either, and I was asked to be a Moderator. I did it because I enjoy the site and it was explained to me that it could possibly be shut down due to problems with a kid viewing porn. I didnt want to see it change. I've deleted one thread in the past and locked a few in the bench racers. Its been a hassle at times and I've received some nasty emails and PMs (very few) from guys thinking a female shouldn't moderate. To each his own. I've always tried to be fair and go by the guidelines set up for the Moderators.
