Sometimes I have a gas problem too. One time it made me shit myself. Stay away from Mexican food.

You should have stems that go down into the tanks from the top. Fuel pump sucks gas out of the tank and forces it toward your carb. mattering how your tank setup is, may suck from one side at a time or like mine, both sides at once. What kind of problem are you having? Could be a clogged vent line if you have them.

can you blow down the vents and hear bubbles?
Do you have the same problem if the gas caps are left open?
If you do, I would be looking at the pickup tubes

We had that prob. on my father-in-law's boat. It would start and run but would run out of gas when he stepped on it. Turns out the "stem" that runs to the bottom of the tank had a screen over it and was full of crud. Couldn't really tell til we pulled it out. I could blow back through to the tank and it seemed ok. It was a bitch too cause the tanks were glassed in. Hope this helps.

on some tanks you can remove the tube that goes down to the bottom of the tank for cleaning, etc. the tubes on our lightning tanks where no larger than a mcdonalds straw. They are way to small for performance motors. try running it with the lids open if you can avoid getting water in the fuel to see if they are venting okay. good luck
