greatest bike ever built! I used to sell these for a living back then. Are you sure its not a 86, or do you just have the higher seat off a 86?
BTW: how is that for holding value....they used to sell for 1750.00 back in 85...pretty strong
We've got an 85 Honda 250R ATC for sale. The bike is in excellent condition. With the exception of an answer silencer, the bike is stock. A set of paddle tires on 10" polished aluminum wheels is included. The price may seem a little high, but I bet whoever looks at it will buy it. I highly doubt you will find another bike this nice. In the recycler for $1650. Will take $1500 from a board member or friend. PM me if you're interested.

Pink slip says it's an 85. You're right, those bikes were the greatest built. They run strong and last forever. I think they were the best looking bike too. I'm sad to see it go, but it was time to get 4 wheels.
YES, I now see the black motor. 85's had black and 86's had a gray motor....but that def a 86 seat. the 85 said 250R,86's said ATC....any bites on her yet?
I've had a few calls on it. Unfortunately, the picture does not do the bike justice. My friends have bought bikes for 1400, but they were not nearly as nice.
i remember when that bike came out i wanted one badly.I bought one back in 98 for 900 bucks was very clean and hardly ridden.I use to ride a cr 250 but a broken arm and 3 months out of work i gave it up.Decided i wanted another ride but for sand only so i bought the 250r.They are bulletproof havent done a thing to it just kick it over and ride.Looks like it is appreciating in value
