Interesting bottom on the Italian job -

Doesn't look all that shabby to me. None of the boats this size are going to be great for overnighting. Which is one of the reasons bowriders are much more popular in this size over here in the US. Are there any other US brands besides Donzi that are available to you in Italy?

here in Italy There is no USA small boats that are available by a dealer directly, So I'd have to buy them directly in US, by mail...
I'm interested in Donzi, because they would make me an hard discount since there are no delaers involved...
I'm thinking about 22 ZX because it seems better for rough waters, than Linetti, since I'll use it only in the sea...

I expect many US builders would sell direct for an overseas deal. Most US boats in this size are really lake boats, not so much for the ocean. Another popular brand here is Baja (http://www.bajamarine.com/index.asp?...d=35026&tab=0&) . Though they may not be as well known in Europe as Donzi. Currency exchange can be a funny thing. You might be able to get a smoking deal on a Canadian built Campion Chase (http://www.campionboats.com/chase/650i.htm) .
Since the regulations for boats in Europe are different than here in the US, buying US boat for Europe may not be all that simple. Here is another thread about getting a US boat to Europe - The Hull Truth Boating Forum (http://thehulltruth.com/6/ubb.x?a=tp...1&m=5056015573) .
I really would not be so quick to give up on the European boats.

I like Chase, but it has too little sun pad, and I'd prefere something more "racing" looking...
You're very right, buying an US boat for Europe is a bit difficult, I was only thinking about Donzi because of the great price reduction...
Baja is known more than Donzi, and they have a sort of dealer here, but thy know nothing, they have no boats to see, and I should pay for them, so...
Outlaw series 25 is very nice, but a little expensive...
Usa 22 feet are lake boat????
are they not good for sea,in your opinion?? I'm searching for a 70 mph boat and your boat are faster than ours...

We have tons of racy looking boats. But the more racy the more likely they will be low profile. Not so good for big water. At least the Chase line has a fairly deep hull.

There are guys running the smaller boats in mild seas. But the more serious ocean runners seem to be near the 30 foot mark (and bigger of course). Does depend on the nature of the swell. Dunno exactly what the minimum length would need to be to run 70 in swells. Would make an interesting topic in itself.

    Thanx Kelly!!
I won't use my boat at 70 mph on rough sea, obviously, but I'm searching for boat tha allows me to ride as well with some waves...
Maybe at the end I'll choose the Linetti, beacause of the facilties of buying a boat some miles near home...
I can't too spend 2 months or more, only to import an USA boat and to make its documentation...
