well there are 2 plugs...one on top of drive and one on bottom...to drain
I pull bottom plug first then top plug...
then when filling..I fill till it comes out top..then put top plug in and then bottom..
the bottom plug is kinda towards the back of drive..unless drive has a nose cone it should be easy to see
You will see in part# 4 and 5 are the bottom plug and O-ring

Easiest thing you can do - unscrew plug on nosecone, unscrew plug at top of unit. Drain. Fill from bottom with a little fill kit at any boat store (cheap). Screw back in, go boating.

Make sure you use a marine lower unit oil. I have had good luck with the Lubrimatic high performance synthetic (available at Wal-Mart, as is the little pump and fitting) Automottive gear oils foam and expand too much and can blow the seals out. An automotive differential has much more room for expansion, and a breather.
