Levoe,
With Daren driving it the first time out we hit 74 mph at 5000 rpm before it hot the rev limiter. There was 70 gallons of gas in it and 3 adults. I was just wondering what it would do with the 28 pitch on it.
Hey Levoe... I'm at 84 w/ a 28 pitch, walkthru open bow. You'll see close to 90 if you haven't already. Keep us posted.

I run a Bravo 1 standard finish prop. With the boat low on fuel and nothing in it but me,the best ive seen is 85.4,thats on the rev limiter.Under normal weekend conditions it will run 81-83 with all the normal junk and friends in it.With a lab finished 28Bravo1 from Mercury,it would cavitate more on take off but would pull up to the rev limitier with the boat loaded down.Take it REAL easy when your coming on to plain with the 28p.Dont waste your time or money with a 30p either.Best prop is a standard Bravo1 from Mercury. As for somebody saying you should see close to 90?that must of been with alot more motor work.85-86,tops.
Hope this helps, JR
I was refering to Levoe's 525/light layup/ closed bow when I mentioned 90
