    Hi 22Xp,
Nice boat..How was eliminator during their sales process. How does it ride in rough water?
When I talked to them at the LA boat show they seemed to act like used car salesman, and that left a bad taste in my mouth. Seemed to try and dodge the price issue, and made outrageous claims about the perforance. I know they make a great boat, but they seemed a bit unrealistic..
What was your experience like? what did you pay?

My experience w/ the big "E" has also been dissapointing... although I love their styling and performance slant the sales folks that I have talked to have been arrogant and rude. They would do well to adopt the approach I experienced at Essex which refused appologetically to bargain but in a non-insulting respectful way. Not "This is what you get and what it costs... take it or leave it".

The salesman we delt with is no longer there unfortunatly. He was a great guy. His name was Norm. I had a great experience with them. We ordered the boat in late July in the middle of the summer and they had the boat to us in the first week of September. Eliminator's prices are a little higher but you get what you pay for, the boat is solid as rock, and the craftsmanship is second to none. The prices listed in Eliminator's price guide are not what we payed. I live in Socal so we ordered through the factory. The boat was listed at 38,000 with the basic motor package and Norm told us that there is a 10% mark up in the price guide so we started out at 34,000 then motor upgrade, and a few other options it was 45,000 with tax. We didn't really bargain on price but you can bargin on options. Like getting a $1000 boat cover thrown in or other little things that add up quick. The only thing that I think Eliminator needs to change is their base motor setup. It comes with a pos 5.7 alpha, which no one would buy, so you have to spend at least 3-5 on the first motor upgrade. If they started with the 7.4 base we would have got the 454 mag, but instead we got the 7.4 mpi. For everybody that had a bad experience I would say give it one more shot with someone different than you talked to before. Everybody I have meet there has been very willing to help. They switched my 22p bravo to a 24p after I had used the boat for sometime. So I have no complaints only praise. It handles the ruff stuff rather well. It rides right on top of the waves. I wouldn't trade my boat for anything, but I would trade up for a bigger motor in a sec. http://free.***boat.net/ubb/biggrin.gif http://members.aol.com/jlstang95/backofboat.jpg
