Keith, will you have any Boss Cat's there? How come we don't hear that much about these. The one at the LA show looked very nice.

Care to drive a Conquest 28' Top Cat Deckboat? Group 1 Marine
invites you to the cove at the Nautical Inn this Saturday March
the 6th from 9 am until about 3 pm for a ride!!
Bring the family or come alone. It's an opportunity to drive or ride
in one of the most sought after boats in the country. We'll have
the new Top Cat II with twin helms and the traditional Top Cat
deckboats fueled up and ready to go.
This is your opportunity to find out why people wait in line to get
one of these boats. There won't be any sales pressure or hassle-
just drive the boat! If you want to make a deal on one, or order
one, the factory will be open for tours and information.
If you can't make it next weekend, let us schedule a private demo
ride for you whenever it is convenient.
See you next weekend.

Probably because we are building a new mold as we speak for the
28' Boss Cat! The plug is almost finished, then in a week a new
mold. The bottom is real close to what we've had but the top
is taller and sexy! everyone seems to love it.

Post a pic of the new Boss Cat...atleast some that give us an idea of what to expect.
Thanks Keith-

Keith, Did you ever get any pics of the Deckboat you did with the #6 drive a while ago?
just curious, thanks
The deckboat with the #6 drive and stand off box etc belongs
to Rob De Camp and it is still at Gary Teagues place. He should
be done with it in a week or two. It will be a fun one! I'll get some photos of the Boss Cat plug as you requested.

You know with all the mfg.'s in LHC, I am very surprised this doesn't happen more often. Props to Conquest for providing the consumer with a no pressure, in the water "come and see our boats" type event.
Other mfg.'s should take notice.
This may be a dumb question, but is the New American Offshore deck boat the old Conquest Mold? similar to what Eliminator currently uses?
I wondered how long it would be until this subject came up!
When we arrived at the LA boat show, we heard that someone
had one of our old boats downstairs in their booth. It's hard to
say if it's one of our boats or a copy but it certainly looks to be
an exact copy. Then of course we start hearing that theirs is
a 70 mph boat with a 496 Mag. ----now without starting any
talk, if it's one of ours or if it is built similar to ours, then it goes
60 to 62 mph with a 496 Mag and only goes 70 mph behind the
Suburban. On the other hand, if it is a "flexy flyer" that doesn't
weigh anything--who can say how fast it is. I was also told that
they have been building them for over 10 years. Wow-that's news to everyone I think. Good luck to them. Competition makes
us all improve our game. Ultimately, the consumer probably wins.
