Marlin455, Are you sure that's not a Wriedt hull? Looks alot like my hull.

NaMarine- It's definitely a Marlin hull, but is a perfect splash of the Sidewinder, except the top- It has minor differences. Check out the thread Sidewound replied to about the history of the Sidewinders- I believe your Wriedt was also a splash of the Sidewinder. Thanks, Stan

Cool this is the first Marlin Ive seen other then mine. I have a 1971 17.5' I swaped the motor with 454BBC and Im hitting 76 MPH @ 5400 RPM and its real smooth.. Next season I plan to start on the body and interior..As for now Im getting the engine dialed in. Theres some pics under 454h20 on the ***boat site checkem when you have a chance. What state are you in?
