    I need to rechrome my sanger pickle inboard rudder, very rusty. Anyone know of a plater near Sac. Ca and what is a guess on the cost. Thanks.

    I would get it irridited, chrome hides cracks!.. And if you race it, you won't pass tech!..

    Just throw a little Mexi-chrome on it. If it needs to be repaired, nothing a quick paint job can't fix.

    If you decide to get your rudder re-chromed, make sure the plater you choose is familiar with the process needed to avoid hydrogen embrittlement as this can cause cracking problems.     My rudder is all pitted and it looks like there is a small crack up near the top. Can anyone point me in the right direction to have it checked or to buy a new rudder? Thanks for the help
