There's a new copper gasket with print-o-seal around all the water passages. The biggest secret to helping copper gaskets to seal water is receiver groove the block so that the wire on the head has somewhere to compress the copper into.
The trick to getting copper gaskets to seal is to run K-W Block seal as per the instructions on the can. Circulate mixture from a bucket and a return line until the engine is up to app. 200-210 deg-F then drain and let dry for 24 hours. Moroso has a product thats close or the same as K-W.

If you are having problems sealing up your water on your blown or unblown engine, then you need to give Paul Pfaff Racing Engines a call. They have a head gasket called Cometic. Have seen it run on a 1250hp blown engine with no worries. (714) 894-7573
Currently running Cometics on our 565 n2o 1,500+ Hp race engine and will continue to do so when we step her up to 3,000 Hp.

Holy S is why we're building a capsule boat ... won't go above 1,500 Hp in an open boat and, that's pushing it.
I've been useing copper head gaskets for ever not a problem o-ring block a little silicone around water holes it works oh yes you need a good deck and head surfaces.
Every time we have had a water leakage problem, it has been around the bolt threads. The water crawls right up the stud and drips off into the head. If we put some silicone around the water holes and the stud threads, never had a problem. Ultra Blue silicone seems to work the best. And it doesn't mind alcohol.
058, I need to find out again. A rep told me the company but I've forgotten. I'll let you know as soon as I fnd out.
