We basically go that way, but take the 91 to the 10 and out. That 60 sucks, and at best knocks very little time off your trip. On the other hand when it sucks, it sure can add time, and the transition from the 91 to the 60 always sucks.

If there is any traffic, I go the 57, 60, 10, Desert Center on the way out. On the way back Desert Center, 10, 15, 91 or 60 (depending on time of day/night). Coming back the 60 sucks through Burrito Valley!!

This is correct too. Basically, if you are leaving early or way late, then go 91 to the 10 then out there.

If you leave early on Saturday morning, there's no traffic, and no Friday night knuckleheads trying to pass over the double yellow lines. Plus there's one less night to pay for . Unless you've got a place to stay, but still the Saturday AM drive is a brezze.
