Thread: Jet pump brace ??

    Has anybody braced there jet pump to the engine ?? Maybe from the bellhousing area to the upper most bolts on the bowl mounting flange ?? I was woundering if the floor moves at high speed and high HP .

    I think most people usually braced the pump from the stringers on either side of the pump.

    I recieved some pump braces with my 4-point kit
    Anyone use these

    Yes, the pump brace goes to the rails.
    The purpose is to make the engine & pump more solid as a unit assembly.
    I would guess that there is quite a bit of torque applied to the pump under accelateration, and it will help hold the intake/pump in the hull.
