What is the difference between a Pro-Billet ready to run distributor for marine application vs the auto application. A tech at MSD told me that there was virtually no difference. I'm sure there's many out there who run an auto dist on boat.
    Thanks

The only difference should be that on any vent openings there has to be screens to prevent sparks from being emitted into the engine compartment.

The other difference is I'm sure the marine model costs twice as much!!

Marine dist, has waterproof plug, Dist. cap is screwed on, & vent holes in bottom with screen. I do not think the auto one has hole in bottom of dist. I used an auto one for about 10 years. When I went with efi & changed & went with the marine one. O yea, it's coast guard appoved & costs more.
