Find a book that shows the factory specs for the Magnum, cam, heads, comp ratio, intake/exhaust...Etc. It may be a "special" block, but the bore / stroke is still going to work out to be 454 cu in. Its all in the specs, just like any other motor combination of parts and pieces. Those same specs will list the horsepower of the various assemblies...........MP

I believe a magnum [ if you are talking about a mercruiser] Is a four bolt main block, steel crank and rods and forged pistons, I think.

The ones I have torn down have had forged crank, 4 bolt mains, dimple rods, forged pistons with a small dome, square port heads, roller rockers. Had a dual plane intake and dual feed Holley
Just did one last year for a guy that lost a valve and trashed 1 cylinder. I have many pics.
