Anyone have some "MUST SEE" spots?? My company just made the owner's condo available for our use free of charge and I am thinking of pullin boat up from San Diego fo a 4 or 5 day stay. Any ideas or insight is appreciated.

Tahoe is one of the most beautiful places in the world, in my opinion. It is the largest alpine lake in north America, if memory serves me correct.
If you have a small boat, be careful, the wind comes up in the afternoon, and it can get rougher than you would believe. Even in the summer, the water is too cold for swimming for most folks.
The lake is down a bit, there is a public ramp in Tahoe City, and several around the lake.
Enjoy it, make sure you take the time to eat at Garwoods in north shore, and take the long walk down to the state park in Crystal Bay, it is worth the effort. There is a lot of private property around the lake edge, if it looks like a private beach in front of a 10 mil house, it is...
It takes about two and a half hours to drive around the lake (+-)
on the road, and there are things to check out all around it. If you are in to bicycling, the trails around the lake are very popular and beautiful.
The best steak in Tahoe is at a Steakhouse right next to the last Casino headed south. I think it was Kennedy's or something like that. Not cheap, but great food.
Just looked at your profile, you'll be fine on the lake, watch for rocks as you come in close to the ramp or shore. You will be able to boat right in to Crystal Bay and beach it...awesome!

When are you going? We have a place up there and we will be up there most of August with our boat. We are on South Lake. Where are you going to be? And to my knowledge it is Emerald Bay not Crystal Bay. 15 mph zone, and the coldest water in the lake. Crystal Bay is in Incline, lots of rocks.

Crystal is in Incline. Lots of rocks, where people climb down and lay on then for warmth after checking their manhood. Or turtle head...

    Thanks for the replies.....
Lot's of good info so far, the best of which might be where to get the best steak, ummmmm J/K
Not sure when we are going up....Late July early August...most likely. This is kind of spur of the moment thing. The owners family owns a 2 or 3 br condo up there, (not sure where). They hardly use it and went up over the 4th to prepare it for rental, but then heard some horror stories about rentals getting trashed run down etc. They decided to make it available for employee's who agree to take care of it free of charge. I offered to rent it for a few days, but they said no charge so I thought what the heck. Cost should be minimal for a short vacation. Gas for the Suburban pullin the boat ain't gonna be zactly cheap but hey. I've seen a few pictures and it looks absolutley beautiful so I figure why not. I like to Waterski and surf so water temp isn't a problem I'll bring a short wetsuit just the same. The wife likes to sight see so that will be most of our time spent.

I will not re-jet it. It does load up a bit but overall she runs good. I am running a 540 naturally aspirted motor.
What are you running. Before I was running a 454 and I was fine as well, I just changed my prop for skiing.
