holy price busters boatman, that seems way too high. cmon folks, theres got to be some of you that know the value of it. id hate to see someone fall for a scam. but in this case it almost seems like one.
My buddy looked at a 90 eliminator closed bow 21' this weekend. He said it was in pretty good shape. The trailer wasn't too great though and would probably need to be redone in a year or 2. It had a big block chevy and an american turbine jet. The guy was asking 20, but said he would go down to 18. That seems awful high to me. What's your opinions?
Thanks

Maybe he meant $20.00 down to $18.00... Ya never know with all those killer deals out there
Out of all seariousness...that does seem extremely high. Unless the motor has got some searious parts within...I'd be very skeptical...hell I'd be skeptical even with good internal parts

IMHO.......and without seeing the boat..............$12K ...........$15K tops.
The motor is nothing special. Just a stock indmar 454. I saw some pics of the boat and it does look pretty clean for a 90. However, it's not perfect. In my opinion it should sell between 10 and 13K. Does that seem fair. After all, the boat is 14-15 years old.
Here's a pic.

Yes.
Pink stripes...definitely no more than 13K.
He's smoking crack if he wants $20k for that thing - there is probably some emotional attachment $$$ tacked on to the true value.
My buddy just talked with the guy again. The guy asked my buddy for an offer. My buddy said he wants to stay under 15K for a boat. My buddy said the guy was kind of mad when he gave his price range. This guy may never sell his boat.
