Finally got the balancer to fit after about 7 hours of honing, polishing, measuring.Cut a piece of keystock to fit and used a wheel cylinder hone then polished it with a simple tool I made ,a bolt, cut the head off,cut a slot legnthwise, then inserted emery cloth, chucked it up in the drill press an polished it up.It actually worked out great.Just wanted to take my time,I ended up taking .0014 off,and it fit perfect and stayed true.Found a windage tray that I liked and found that the dip stick hole was on the wrong side and had to section it and rotate 360 and tig it back together. Then installed oil pump and found it was 1/2" deeper in the pan so I had to cut the pickup down and re braze the screen.
It's amazing how all the little things really slow you down.
