I just had a 545 BBf built, it's on my engine stand waiting for an oil pan and carb. I'm going with a 850 Quick flow carb. 12 qt. oil pan. It has H beam rods with main girdle, aluminum heads, full roller motor, I was told easy 650HP. Thanks Brian650hp out of a 545 with just an 850 cfm carb, eh? Good luck.

Thanks FourQ, I think it's worth to do! The time I'll save trying to tune the carb on the lake without #s is worth it alone.

For 650 hp an 850 should be fine. A 950 feeds my motor with over 800...
