They are J&E pistons. Contact them directly and see if they will sell you one. Might be cheaper than going through merc.
I just dropped a valve in my 502 and destroyed the piston. Does anyone know where I can purchase a replacement piston. The bottom of piston is stamped JE700.
Any help would greatly be appreciated.

That's good to hear. I had to buy a slug for my old 350 and GM could not cross over part #. Only available from merc. They wanted $129 for 1 cast piston! Yeah right!

Note to self: Never go to a dealer!..
Thanks for the info. Hopefully it will be something they stock.

Look like the one i need. But I might be better off going to J&E since I need the rings and conn. rods. Plus they are only about 30 mins from me. Unless $25.00 is a super deal for that piston. I would'nt think a single piston would be more then $50.00. But, I could be wrong. THanks for the link
Vandeanoo, I have 8 standard 502 used pistons..had over heating problem on jet boat..pistons were checked by southwest engines in San bernardino, Calif. all checked with in specs.
although number 8 cylinder has to be bored. I decided to bore all 8 and fit new 30 over pistons. Tlhemmme@aol.com
