Wonder how they figure a bare aluminum block and pan weigh 600 lbs???
Some of you may appreciate this.
I stumbled across these short blocks by total accident yesterday.
Donovan HC-700 Strontium raised cam short blocks used going anywhere from $700 -$1400 at goverment auction. I will assume these were in typical gofast boats and were at the end of their "service life" stint. Thats all I know. I did notice that the intake rails at the front and rear of the block look like they were raised for maybe hemi type heads..? I have no idea but uh somebody could make out like a bandit I think... They have the mount plates and oil pans still in place.Take a look. Auction ends soon.
There are a bunch of them. just do a search on "Donovan"
here's one.

It's that heavy government aluminum. Or it may be a conspiracy. Better get Blown472 in here to determine what's really going on.
Think about it. What does YOUR crank weigh?
If it were a Dodge I would have SEVERAL of them here to pick from.
They bought K cars in the 80s, why cant they buy big blocks. Bastards.

How can they offer something for sale to us when we bought it in the first place?
