The engine builder I was referring to is in the HIgh performance business. Mainly outlaw sprint cars. Were talking serious small blocks in those overgrown go-carts. When I did my first motor, a 350, I had a lead on a 400 thats was still running but was very tired. Well the 400 never worked out. But he told me that he can build the 350, no problem, but it would be alot easier and cheaper if I had the 400 to start with. Wouldnt the same apply with a 383. The 350 can be made to beat it but will take more $$$$$ :idea:
