Help... I have a 2005 496HO and lately when first started it runs bad. After it warms up for a few minutes it runs good all day. Any advice on what to check?
That sounds alot like what I had going on with mine. I suggest you take it in and see if it is throwing any codes. It could be a number of other things but it's a good place to start. Is your transom all sooty when you pull the boat out?
My motor wasn't throwing any codes but it was going in and out of guardian mode. The mechanic flushed out my heat exchanger and my oil cooler, changed the plugs, and the boat has run perfectly ever since. Good luck!
