Got rid of old 1996 22' Daytona.... it was a pig if you ask me. Now I am in the market for another boat. I am looking at the DCB 22", the new Daytona 22" and 25" Daytona.
We do a lot of lake running around here in san diego bay and Laughlin.
Here are my concerns about each. Next boat will brobably be and I/O and Top speed above 85mph not required.
    22 Daytona:
My old Daytona 22 was a pig at just about any speed. But I have heard the new Daytona 22 is a much better boat. Is this true?
    DCB 22:
So even though the DCB 22 would be my first choice, I don't think it is a rough water boat as much as the 22 Daytona is, and I want to be able to hit whatever lake I want without worry on a normal rough weekend.
    25 Daytona:
    larger size and cost.
    What do you guys think?
Any DCB owners out there that can attest to the rough water ride?

22' Daytona is a much bigger boat.
22' DCB is a lower profile but faster boat.
25' Daytona is the best of your ideas. Runs great in rough water, lots more room. And if your going to look at a 25' Daytona then you might want to look at the Mach 26'.
Do you want canopys? Do you want new or used?

I would buy a used 25 or 26 if I found the right one at a reasonable cost; I actually would prefer used over new. But some of these people are barried so far in their boats that when they to sell them they are out of their mind on price, so I might as well look at a new boat. Ultra and DCB are both within 5 minutes of my machine shop. I have had 5 of Daves boats (Eliminators) and all have been used. So used does not scare me.

Don't care about canopies; would be nice though.

I have a line on a DCB rigged 96 25 Daytona with twin 99 300 Pro Maxs. Very clean boat that was redone at DCB in 2001. Feel free to call if interested. Thanks Drew 925-828-5775

I think my next boat is gonna have an I/O next time. I will sure miss the sound of the twins though.
