    Two inches below the bottom . . . you should be getting great water pressure. Not sure what the problem is. I am with snapper, I would most likely shave the stock OMC heads and put them back on. This way you have good compression and good water pressure. Just make sure you have them shaved by a very reputable machine shop. Nothing worse than having to go out an buy new ones because someone didn't do a good job. BTW, you should be able to run your motor even with the pad or at worst 1/2 inch below the pad. Good Luck

    do you have a nosecone w/lwp?you need to get a waterpressure gauge.also what engine are you running?
